“ Sariling atin is the real deal. The kind of Filipino food you grew up to back at home. I get sentimental when coming here because our mom (who has since passed) used to pick up food from here to feed us throughout our childhood. She would order morcon, which is like a meat wrapped Spanish dish. Everything is amazing. My son wanted dumplings and they even fried it for him. Nothing but from our family! ”

“ We catered a party and everyone enjoyed the food. We ordered lechon kawali, pancit bihon, lumpia, and caldereta, Filipino food is usually pretty greasy and fatty and I appreciate that there wasn't a layer of grease on top of the caldereta. The lechon kawali is probably one of my favs. We used to come by more for the buffet pre-covid and the lechon was as good back then. They still offer the buffet, with plenty of options to choose from. We did have an issue that was luckily resolved prior to our party or else it would've been bad. Apparently what I considered a half tray is considered a full tray- think deep half tray. And a shallow half tray is considered their half tray. And an actual large full tray (that you can fit 2 half trays in) is a size they carry, but not something they advertise as a catering size option. So confusing.... Luckily they were out of something I had ordered so they called to inform of that change and somehow we got into sizing. ”

“ Karioka (Karioka or Carioca is a sweetened deep-fried sticky rice ball made of glutinous rice and coconut milk dough mixture then dipped in a coconut and sugar mix sauce) sooooo soft and chewy! I don't have words to explain how yummy it is! ”
“ I often am on the hunt for a new Filipino restaurant in the area to try. I frequent at Tita Mia's down the street, but while they were busy for lunch, I figured why not try something new. On a whim, I saw Sariling Atin just down the street. Located in a small strip that may be hard to spot if you don't know where to look for it. This restaurant offers, a quick service meal, dine in or catering. I came in shortly after 12pm and there was already a line to the door. I wasn't quite sure where to walk to get in line, but I essentially followed the crowd. While walking through, they were bringing out fresh turon (only $1 each!) (deep fried banana pastry) and various goodies. I ended up grabbing a 4 pack of siopao ($10 for the box of 4), a container of ube puto ($5.50) and a combo meal to try out their food. The combo included 2 sides and white rice, it was $8.50. For the amount of food that you're getting it really is a deal. I ended up getting the caldereta and the pork adobo. The caldereta has a bit of a kick to it, but the stewed minced meat was full of flavor. The pork adobo was a tad sweeter than I'm used to. But for a quick service meal, and the quality and quantity (that box was FULL and heavy) you get your bang for your buck. When I got home, my husband and I shared the siopao. They had the option of the pork adobo and the chicken adobo, but I guess I grabbed pork instead of chicken which had the sweeter flavor again. It wasn't awful, with the perfectly steamed bao it actually was decent compared to others in the area. My big win was finding a place that makes traditional puto and making it well. I should've grabbed 2 containers because we didn't even have enough to snack on for the next day. All in all, when I'm in the area I will likely come by and try other dishes. ”
“ I was in the USN about 30 years ago and had my first experience of lumpia back then. There is nothing finer in life than when a flavor from way back comes to life again. I pulled in. Darted in. Ask if it was possible to get 20 count of lumpia. No. How about 25? Well sure I'll suffer for the good of humanity. Only $9.00 for 25! Great experience. In and out with deliciousness. ”
“ Tasty Filipino food ready to go and the variety of options are welcomed. You can choose to pick their combo where you can select any two items and it is accompanied with rice or you can order a la carte. The service is usually consistent and they are often pretty nice. If you've been to a traditional point point (turo turo) Filipino restaurant, this is basically what Saraling Atin is. Instead of ordering off of a menu, you just point at what you want with the options that are right in front of you. The place is almost always packed during lunch and it's a bit chaotic if you've never eaten there before. You get used to it and add long as the food keeps on staying delicious and the service is good, the dining area won't turn me off from coming again. ”
“ This restaurant serves authentic Filipino food. It's delicious and reasonably priced. The portions sizes are generous which I love. Their food is always delicious and you really feel like you're back in the Philippines when you're here. It's not a typical style restaurant (no waiters to call on etc) if anything, it feels like being served a plate at someone's Filipino birthday party so it's not for everyone, but I still highly recommend you try this place. P.S: Any pork dishes from here are always a winner ”
